Honda Racing Australia turned Round 3 of the 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship into a company picnic, winning all three premier classes at a hard-packed, slippery Gillman on Mother’s Day, May 10. Kyle Webster took MX1, Alex Larwood swept MX2 in front of his home-state crowd, and Heath Fisher went 1-1 in MX3.
MX1: Ferris heartbreak, Webster capitalises
The story of moto one belonged to Dean Ferris. The Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki veteran led 11 laps from the start before a mechanical failure ended his race with roughly four to go, handing the win to Webster from Wilson Todd and Jed Beaton — the first MX1 moto all year Beaton hasn’t won. Beaton answered in moto two, winning by 14.6 seconds after Webster grabbed the holeshot, but Webster’s 1-2 took the overall on 47 and snapped the Yamaha rider’s perfect season.
| MX1 Overall | Rider | Bike | Motos | Pts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kyle Webster | Honda | 1-2 | 47 |
| 2 | Jed Beaton | Yamaha | 3-1 | 45 |
| 3 | Wilson Todd | Honda | 2-4 | 40 |
| 4 | Nathan Crawford | Honda | 5-3 | 36 |
| 5 | Aaron Tanti | Yamaha | 4-5 | 34 |
Todd’s podium was his best result of the year as he rebuilds fitness post-injury, while Webster admitted afterwards he’d ridden “too conservatively” on a track that “wasn’t ripped as deep as usual.” Todd Waters crashed in moto one and called Gillman a hard track to pass on.
MX1 points after Round 3: Beaton 145, Webster 133, Tanti 106, Todd 103, Waters 88.
MX2: Larwood’s home-state masterclass — and Kingsford’s iron will
Larwood won both motos by 15.7 and 13.4 seconds for a perfect 50. The grit award went the other way down pit lane: Kayd Kingsford broke his collarbone in a training crash the Wednesday before the round, had immediate surgery, and still lined up to salvage 6-8 motos and 28 points. Ryder Kingsford led the opening lap of moto two and finished second in it for third overall.
| MX2 Overall | Rider | Bike | Motos | Pts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Alex Larwood | Honda | 1-1 | 50 |
| 2 | Byron Dennis | KTM | 2-3 | 42 |
| 3 | Ryder Kingsford | Honda | 5-2 | 38 |
| 4 | Noah Ferguson | Yamaha | 4-5 | 34 |
| 5 | Dylan Walsh | KTM | 3-10 | 31 |

MX2 points after Round 3: Larwood 130, Dennis 120, K. Kingsford 111, Walsh 109, Ferguson 92.
MX3: Fisher fires up the title fight
Heath Fisher (Honda Racing Australia) won both MX3 motos to leap from fifth to second in the standings, slashing a 37-point deficit to Hayden Draper down to 22. Jackson Fuller (7-2) was second overall from Draper, whose moto two went sideways with a poor start and contact with Jack Deveson’s rear wheel, leaving him eighth in the race.

MX3 points after Round 3: Draper 130, Fisher 108, Burgess 106, Fuller 96, Deveson 91.
MX65 Futures: Madafiglio launches new class
Gillman hosted the opening round of the new KTM Group MX65 Futures class, and Ryder Madafiglio (Husqvarna) won the overall with 1-2 motos after recovering from early problems in race two, won by O. Cale (KTM). Hudson Francis (Yamaha) completed the podium.
Next up: Round 4 at Echo Valley, Toowoomba, May 24.
